The BeltLine Redevelopment Plan, developed with extensive community engagement and input, was approved by the Atlanta City Council in 2005. It outlined the 25-year vision for the project. In July 2006, Atlanta City Council approved the BeltLine Five Year Work Plan, which outlined priorities, goals, organizational structure, and a $427 million budget for first five years of the project.
